My name is Diego, and I’m a queer Chilean artist based in Berlin.

I started Sireno as a textile laboratory project in 2022, and it quickly became a place where I could explore my creativity and give a voice to my inner child. Growing up as a queer kid, I often hid or toned down the things and aesthetics that made me feel joy and identity, simply because I was afraid of being rejected. Sireno is where all of that finally has room, and where I can share it openly with the world.

Inspired by anime, video games, and lifelong fantasies, I create unique pieces that range from gender-free garments to up-cycled accessories and embroideries full of nostalgia. My bags have become my signature work and they’re where my focus is right now, but Sireno is constantly shifting — we’ll see where it brings me next.

Ultimately, Sireno is an invitation to be playful and to express ourselves without fear.
